Hayward, who was formerly executive VP, advertising sales/pan-regional group, MTV Networks in Singapore, joins with a brief to boost advertising and sponsorship revenue at the channel. He will report to Jeremy Pink, president and managing director, CNBC Asia Pacific.

Hayward replaces Adrian New who recently left to join World Sport Group (Media, 11 July) as senior VP of sales.
Hayward's previous roles include a stint at Star TV, where he was EVP of ad sales, and at McCann Erickson Hong Kong, where he was regional media coordinator, after a time as broadcast director for Leo Burnett based in London.
