MTV Networks AP chief tipped to step down

MTV Networks Asia-Pacific president Nigel Robbins is expected to step down from his role.

Robbins (pictured), formerly MD of MTV Networks Australia before replacing Asia-Pacific head Frank Brown in January this year, has not responded to Media's requests for comment, while MTV Networks' senior VP communications Todd Philips also declined to comment.

The high-level uncertainty follows a troubled few months for the entertainment giant, which has seen the departure of MTV stalwart Tom Freston, who was ousted by the Viacom board, the sudden departure of senior sales exec Toby Hayward in July, the postponement of its regional awards show, and a significant restructure of its operational resources last year.
