The new platform will also launched in China on 1 May, followed by other markets including Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
The applications will allow viewers to share MTV content on sites such as Facebook. Sony Ericsson has sponsored a video widget to promote its new programme, MTV Music Revolution.
