MTV Korea head Choi resigns post

Senior vice-president and managing director for MTV Korea, HK Choi, is leaving the company to pursue other business opportunities.

Choi's departure comes shortly after Nigel Robbins' relocation from Sydney to Singapore to take over the role of president for MTV Networks Asia-Pacific. Luke Kang, senior VP of sales, corporate strategy and business development, will take over the Korean operation until a replacement is found. According to Robbins, Choi played a key role in developing and expanding the network's Korean operations and was also in charge of the recently-launched Nickelodeon Korea channel "We have benefited greatly from HK's leadership as managing director for MTV Networks Korea. His passion and expertise helped the network significantly in promoting our businesses in Korea," said Robbins.
