Three versions of the10-second tongue-in-cheek TVC shows FAMA eating, having a massage, and shopping at Book City - the three most popular activities Hong Kong people enjoy when going to Shenzhen. The script is a mix of catchy raps and voiceover presentations.
Currently, passengers can cross over to Shenzhen via the MTR’s LoWu or Lok Ma Chau stations.
Christine Pong, partner of TwoHundred, the MTR’s creative agency said: “Our brief hopes to generate high traffic frequency and highlights that the MTR offers a direct and convenient access to Shenzhen, as opposed to the cross-border coaches which passengers need to get off to go through immigration check-points.”
The TVC rolled out on TVB Jade, i-Cable, MTR videos and digital panels, and print March 26 and the initial bursts will run for four weeks.
The media agency is OMD.
The campaign ties in with the news last week that the second phrase of Shenzhen Metro Line 4 will be built by Hong Kong's MTR Corporation and it will be extended to Longhua, and connect with Shenzhen's new railway station.
