MSN selects BatesAsia for China creative

BEIJING - MSN has handed its creative duties to BatesAsia, following a five-way pitch believed to have included Saatchi & Saatchi.

MSN is up against stiff competition on the mainland, where it lags behind homegrown competitors such as Tencent’s QQ. However, observers have noted that MSN is relatively popular among white-collar workers, a profile which may prove a useful niche on the market.

The account is believed to be worth US$3 million.
