At the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Mr Michael Ball has stepped

into the role of group director, sales and marketing.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Mr Ball makes the move from REZSolutions

Inc, having overseen the development of the company's branded portfolio,

including Summit Hotels and Resorts, Sterling Hotels and Resorts and

Golden Tulip Worldwide.

Meanwhile, sparking a wave of changes at Shangri-La's SAR sales office

is the departure of Ms Gigi Arnoux, who, after 13 years with the group -

most recently as director of marketing - is leaving to pursue personal

interests.

Filling Ms Arnoux's position is Ms Makie Chu, who rises up the ranks

following a five year tenure with Shangri-La, most recently as director

of sales.

Relocating from the Shangri-La Golden Flower in Xian is former director

of marketing, Ms Ada Leung.
