MOVERS: Appointment at ESPN Star Sports

ESPN Star Sports has appointed Manu Sawhney as senior vice-president of its programming and event management group, effective September. Sawhney will also oversee the ESS event management group. In his previous role as managing director (India), he was responsible for ESPN India and Star Sports India networks including ad sales, marketing and distribution. R.C. Venkateish, formerly the MD of Kellogg India and Japan, will succeed Sawhney as MD of ESPN Software India. ESS also announced that Wayne Becker, senior vice-president of the programming and event management group will leave the network at the end of his contract.
