McAlister will report to Managing Director of Client Partnerships Lou Barrett who said in a statement: “Jo brings a rare combination of bold creative thinking and deep operational expertise across both client-side and agency leadership. She’s just led one of Australia’s top media agencies through one of the biggest structural changes our industry has seen, and her experience driving transformation will be invaluable as we scale our ability to bring complex campaigns to life faster than ever before.
Suntory Beverage & Food Asia has appointed Publicis Media to handle integrated strategic media buying and planning across its subsidiary brands in Asia.
The remit spans Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore, awarded after a competitive pitch facilitated by Ebiquity. This win marks a shift from OMD, which had secured Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific’s broader media planning and buying remit across eight APAC markets in 2023 (worth an estimated $65 million). While OMD’s contract covered Australia, New Zealand and additional Asia markets, Publicis Media now takes over the core Asia beverage portfolio.
Australia's leading non-profit cancer charity Cancer Council has appointed Perth‑headquartered communications agency 303 after a competitive review to develop a refreshed, digital‑first brand platform for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, the organisation’s annual fundraiser for cancer research and support services.
The agency has been tasked to create a new communications framework and fit‑for‑platform assets to support the annual fundraising event across multiple channels. The appointment is effective immediately and positions 303 to shape the event’s brand identity for future campaigns.
