Motorola selects Hong Kong to roll out Pebl globally

Motorola has chosen Hong Kong as the global launch market for its Pebl U6 handset.

The phone follows in the style of the Rokr E1 and the Razr, with distinct design features and a unique opening mechanism. Key features include integrated Bluetooth wireless technology, up to 5MB of memory and a VGA camera, with speaker-independent voice recognition to activate camera, voice mail and redial. "The Pebl U6 silhouette is created to emotionally and rationally engage with consumers," said Jim Wicks, VP of consumer experience design at Motorola. "It has a character and defined personality that speaks a very human and intuitive language through sight, sound and touch." The phone is also due to launch in Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia.
