SINGAPORE - Motorola has launched its music download service MotoMusic in Singapore, marking the fifth market in which the service has been introduced.

MotoMusic Singapore will allow users to download video, songs and ringtones through the web or directly to their mobile handsets via WAP. Motorola subsidiary Soundbuzz, a mobile content provider, will manage the service.

MotoMusic Singapore will offer 750,000 tracks and music derivatives for download, including new song releases and greatest hits from international, local, and independent labels. It will be available in English, Malay, Hindi, Tamil, Thai and Tagalog.

“This is a very important milestone, which strengthens the mobile music experience that Motorola offers to anyone with a mobile phone in Singapore,” said Ian Chapman-Banks, corporate vice-president and general manager, Asia, Mobile Devices.

MotoMusic is now operational in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and India.
