At present, Motorola works with a number of agencies in various regions and local markets, including Ogilvy PR and Hill & Knowlton in Asia-Pacific. Those two networks are believed to be responding to the RFI, along with Edelman and Text 100, among others.
It is believed Motorola is looking to conclude the process by November. "The process is being driven by Motorola procurement," said a source. "But it's unclear if it will lead to a pitch, and if Motorola will consolidate its global PR with one agency."
Motorola spokespersons in Asia-Pacific declined to comment on remarks attributed to Motorola senior director of global PR Jennifer Erickson, who said that the process intends to find "agency partners to assist us in building awareness and context across business units and product lines to audiences worldwide".
