Motorola appoints Goh to bigger role

Lena Goh has been named marketing director of Motorola mobile devices' companion products division across its high-growth markets region. She takes on the bigger role after spending the previous two-and-a-half years as the high-growth markets regional PR and marketing manager for mobile devices.

The appointment is accompanied by the relocation of previous Asia-Pacific companion products marketing manager Audrey Low to oversee North Asia. Motorola is the global leader in the space, which includes all handsets with a 40 per cent market share. "It's a significant margin driver," said Goh of the business, but declined to reveal its contribution to the overall bottom line. "It's a very big challenge to not just maintain leadership, but also excite our consumers with innovative products." Motorola's high-growth region covers Southeast Asia, Australasia, India, Middle East, Turkey, North Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
