Hong Kong-based marketing agency Motiv8 has launched a custom

publishing subsidiary, which offers on and offline publishing

capabilities to clients such as PCCW.

Motiv8 publishing will initially focus its language offering on Chinese,

Japanese and English.

The agency's managing director, Chris Fjelddahl, said the custom

publishing subsidiary was a natural extension of the marketing services

it offers, particularly for its loyalty programmes. "It will be serviced

by journalists who bring credibility to the writing rather than

marketing copywriters who tend to over-commercialise the stories."

Clients include Hong Kong telecoms giant PCCW, which publishes a

magazine for its Number One Club members, and Japanese cosmetics company

Shu Uemura's MORE newsletter, distributed both on and offline.
