MobileOne signs up for 'Brainiest' SMS/WAP launch

Mobileway has joined up with Celador International to bring TV show Brainiest to mobile carriers in Asia, and has secured Mobile-One as its first Asian client.

The mobile game has been based on the European version of Who Wants to be a millionaire, and can be played by SMS and WAP. The game follows the same format as the TV show, with points awarded for correct answers. "The mobile carrier who agrees to launch the game will be responsible for marketing the game to subscribers for the purpose of driving additional revenue, user loyalty and to attract new users," said Matthew Talbot, head of Mobileway full service operations Asia-Pacific. "Mobileway is currently talking to the countries where the Brainiest and Who wants to be a millionaire games are broadcast. There are no limits as to how many we can sign up. We hope to roll out the service to at least two to three carriers in the second half of 2004."
