The communications would be targeted toward CEOs, senior management, HR directors and line managers in order to promote and sustain awareness of the employment, re-employment and retention of the city-state’s older workforce, aged 55 years and above.
With falling birth rates and rising life expectancy, the proportion of older workers aged 50 and above in the Lion City is expected to increase rapidly by 2015, but the increase in younger workers joining the local workforce is slowing down.
In August, the Ministry of Manpower issued a tender for an agency to develop communications to market Singapore’s workforce to international employers.
