MINES adds media unit to exhibition facilities

KUALA LUMPUR MINES Exhibition Management has opened a Media Centre within the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC).

KUALA LUMPUR MINES Exhibition Management has opened a Media Centre within the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC). The Media Centre is part of the new MINES Trade Centre. It has a press conference room, computer ports complete with internet access, broadband facility and secretarial services - to assist in faxing out releases, making international calls and preparing the room for a press conference. The media centre has five meeting rooms ranging from 31sqm to 120sqm, seating ten to 80 people. The press conference room is 120sqm and it is suitable for small functions, cocktails and event launches. A lounge area seats ten over its 55sqm area. The media room has a working area for ten, spanning 33sqm. A VIP room is 31sqm, and seats ten. Another VIP room covering 36sqm seats ten. Other new facilities at MINES Trade Centre include a business centre, registration counter and a storage room. MINES Trade Centre covers almost the entire second level of the MIECC. It houses the permanent showroom for the furniture and home furnishings industry, interior decoration design houses, architects and developers. The centre is also aiming to expand the home furnishings industry through the implementation of export strategies. The first exhibition held within its premises, home-furnishings show HOMEX, arranged for trade delegations from Vietnam, China, Thailand and other countries to conduct business matching sessions during the exhibition in August.
