ACNielsen eRatings.com, a venture between ACNielsen and NetRatings, has
signed up MindShare as a subscriber for its Nielsen//NetRatings service
in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China and Australia.
MindShare has subscribed to the audience measurement service for its
m-digital Internet specialist division, which will receive audience
activity information on websites and advertising banners, collected in
real-time from panels in each country.
In Singapore, data from Nielsen//NetRatings became available this month;
local data from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan will not be available until
early next year, as the service has not yet been launched in those
markets.
"The fact that MindShare has signed up (for these markets), where we
have yet to launch, supports the view that Nielsen//NetRatings is fast
becoming the gloabl currency for measuring the Internet," said ACNielsen
eRatings.com president William Pulver.
