MindShare secures Sentosa web duties

SINGAPORE - MindShare has landed a string of new accounts, including interactive duty for Sentosa Develop-ment Corporation.

Working together with GroupM’s creative services unit, MindShare Interaction won the pitch to revamp Sentosa’s website.

According to Jeffrey Seah, MindShare Singapore CEO, the brief is to improve the site’s user-friendliness, manage the email platform and explore new digital opportunities for the island resort brand. The contract runs for one year.

“It’s not a huge project, but it’s significant because a traditional media agency has been given a lead digital role. The lines between agency disciplines have been erased,” noted Seah.

MindShare’s digital operation has also won an account to provide consulting services to VOIP services provider Mediaring. The project, a collaboration with MindShare business consulting unit mConsult, will explore consumer trends in VOIP services and instant communication.

The wins come two months after Seah hired ex-Starcom digital staffers Lee Yew Leong and Benjamin Yeow as director and associate director of MindShare Interaction, respectively (Media, 29 June).

Meanwhile, MindShare has promoted Alefiyah Faizullabhoy and Rajesh Mahtani, to executive business directors. Faizullabhoy will be responsible for developing specialist unit activity for HSBC and Samsung Asia-Pacific, as well as heading the agency’s communications planning business.

Mahtani will handle clients such as DBS, Asia Pacific Breweries and Mattel.
