MindShare retains $26m China Telecom account

SHANGHAI - MindShare has retained its hold on China Telecom's provincial TV and national press business, following a review that included four other agencies.

It is believed that the WPP agency outgunned competition from two international agencies and two local agencies for the brief, following a review of planning and buying capabilities.

According to monitored figures, the company spent Rmb 200 million (US$26 million) on provincial TV and national press in 2006.
