MindShare lauded at Singapore show

MindShare won the Media Agency of the Year accolade for the third time in succession at the Advertising Hall of Fame Awards 2006.

Saatchi & Saatchi took home the Creative Agency of the Year award, beating DDB and JWT. In the Advertising Professional of the Year category, JWT CD Ali Shabaz triumphed over DDB CEO David Tang. There was some solace for the Omnicom agency, however, thanks to three awards for key client StarHub, including Advertiser of the Year. UOB, meanwhile, won the Campaign of the Year gong, in conjunction with Saatchi & Saatchi.

The new Creative Director of the Year category saw Bates ECD Rob Gaxiola win in a field that included JWT regional ECD Tay Guan Hin and McCann Erickson ECD Ng Tian It. MobileOne CEO Neil Montefiore, meanwhile, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
