SYDNEY: MindShare has retained the A$30 million (about

US$16 million) Diageo account following a pitch against four

other agencies.

Diageo has a number of major brands in Australia, including Burger King,

Guinness UDV and Pillsbury.

MindShare Asia-Pacific chief executive, Kelly Clark, said the pitch

focused on providing "new consumer insights, innovative commu- nication

channel planning strategies, particularly as it related to how the

brands' consumers use different media channels (and) highly- competitive

buying results across the total portfolio".

MindShare Sydney managing director, Beverley Price, said it was one of

the more rigorous reviews conducted. "We have shown that we can continue

to meet its requirements with strong strategic skills and buying

capabilities as well as a clear understanding of its customers and

broader business objectives."
