Mindshare appoints new MD in Japan

TOKYO - Mindshare Asia-Pacific has welcomed back Linda Lee as the new managing director of Mindshare Japan.

Linda Lee returns to Mindshare after six years with Citibank.

Lee has over twenty years of global ad agency and media related experience in Asia. Her career in Japan began with a six-year term at Mindshare Japan, and since then she has been accumulating client-side expertise at Citigroup Services Japan.

“I am very excited to come back to the agency side – the origin of my career,” commented Lee. “I will strive to lead Mindshare Japan towards the vision of becoming the first choice media agency for all internationally-minded brands. My personal commitment is to make our employees, clients and business partners feel great working with us.”

“Linda is absolutely the right person for this role. She knows the Mindshare network, team and brand very well and has proven her value to our company time and again," said Ashutosh Srivastava, CEO of Mindshare Asia-Pacific. "More importantly however is that she knows first hand what it is like to be a client and understands their perspective and needs, which will prove invaluable as she reignites our business in Japan.”

Lee replaces Takeshi Komuro, who will assume the position of managing partner of GroupM export and business development.

Komuro’s new role will involve establishing and growing the export and business development unit working with Japanese multinational clients to support their international communication needs.
