ASIA-PACIFIC Millward Brown has completed its regional leadership reshuffle, appointing Gonzalo Fuentes to the newly-created position of managing director for Southeast Asia.

Fuentes' promotion, after previously heading up business operations for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, means he takes on additional responsibility for Millward Brown in Thailand, and its licensee Customer Insights in Vietnam.

The consolidation of Southeast Asian leadership follows the research company's hire of Travyn Rhall as its new CEO for Africa and Asia-Pacific in mid-October.

Rhall succeeds the departing Andreas Sperling, and joins from ACNielsen, where he was MD of customised services and chief client officer for Asia-Pacific.

"There is enormous growth and there is not an infrastructure in terms of universities and training to keep up," said Rhall.
