Microsoft's Chen named head of NBA China

BEIJING - Former Microsoft Greater China CEO Timothy Chen has been appointed to the newly-created role of CEO of NBA China.

Chen, whose departure was announced yesterday (Media, 19 September), will oversee all the league’s business platforms in China. Additionally, NBA China vice-president and managing director Mark Fischer will be promoted to senior vice-president to work alongside Chen. Chen spent a four-year stint with Microsoft, and prior to joining the tech giant was chairman and president of Motorola China.
