Microsoft, Mediabrands software arriving later in 2009

ASIA-PACIFIC - New software developed by Microsoft Advertising and Mediabrands that its developers claim will "re-invent the way media is planned, purchased, measured, reported and optimised" will be brought to Asia-Pacific later this year.

The Media Operations Management System (Moms) programme has been launched to give clients control of their marketing campaigns from the time of their launch through a management system across online and offline media.

According to Microsoft, Moms will initially be rolled out in the US and then globally.

According to a regional Microsoft spokeswoman, “Mediabrands plans to approach potential clients and customers with Moms in the later stages of 2009 to begin discussions around individual marketer needs and requirements.”

The companies have been developing the software for the past six months. It will be accessible by Mediabrand's agencies – Brand Connection, Initiative, Universal McCann and J3 – and their clients.
