Microsoft Greater China chief steps down

HONG KONG - Microsoft Greater China CEO Timothy Chen has stepped down, with current corporate vice-president and chairman of the company's China Research and development group Ya-Qin Zhang (pictured) filling the role in the interim.

Chen is reportedly leaving to take up a new role outside the IT industry.

Zhang, who will retain his current role, will be supported by the current Greater China team, and is expected to word alongside Philippe Courtois, president, Microsoft International.
