Michelin reviews regional media assignments

ASIA-PACIFIC - Michelin has kicked off a review of its regional media assignments, with China and Malaysia believed to currently be in play.

In China, incumbent OMD is reportedly defending the business against GroupM agencies MEC and MediaCom.
While MEC is currently Michelin’s Europe incumbent, the brand splits its Asia-Pacific duties according to local market alignment, with OMD in charge of a number of markets including China, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

According to sources, the current reviews are being driven by procurement.
