Metro, M&C feel seven-year itch
M&C Saatchi is to relinquish its seven-year hold on the S$5 million creative account for Metro, after the Singapore department store put the business up for review. "It's about time for both parties to move on...we need to look for fresh ideas," noted Metro advertising and promotions manager Veronica Lee, whilst M&C Saatchi MD Carolyn Kan said: "We've declined to pitch as it's time to move on." Lee added that Metro is currently reviewing agency credentials, with a view to shortlisting two to three contenders before an appointment in early 2006.
