Led by chief operating officer Tobias Phleps, the agency will work alongside existing German clients such as Volkswagen, as well as seeking new business from local Chinese companies.

But the spokesperson added that MetaDesign was also keen to work with Chinese brands to help them build a presence on the global stage. Based in Beijing, the company will also operate in Hong Kong and Xi’an.
MetaDesign is Germany’s oldest corporate branding agency and is listed as the third largest in Europe. It is part of the European agency network LBi Group.
