“ITB Asia is the only trade show that focuses on Asia as the source market of the future,”
said Messe Berlin’s CEO Raimund Hosch.
“We will be catering for the entire range of tourism products and services. The exhibitors
taking part are from over 30 countries.”
The event’s organisers have already secured 180 exhibitors and are expecting more than
5,000 trade visitors to attend the exhibition.
Following the trade show on October 24 and 25, the Asian Meetings and Events Conference
will see Messe Berlin partner Meeting Professionals International (MPI) in a meeting
that is projected to draw about 250 delegates.
Both organisations said they view Singapore as a platform to reach out to the Asia Pacific
region, the ultimate goal being to increase knowledge, skills and build business opportunities.
“This new platform will further our mission to connect meetings and events professionals to knowledge, networks and marketplaces on a global basis,” said MPI president and CEO
Bruce MacMillan.
