Meridian chalks up INX India triumph

MUMBAI - The Ogilvy Group's Meridian has won the INX Media and INX News business, and has appointed Rensil D'Silva as executive creative director and Kumar Subramaniam as president in India.

According to Miles Young, chairman, Ogilvy & Mather, Asia-Pacific, Meridian - a full communications service offering - has been positioned as a boutique agency for clients seeking "service that's smaller to the big red Ogilvy".

Subramaniam has been with Ogilvy for seven years, and was the president of David India for the last year-and-half. Prior to that, he headed up the Auto Practice group at Ogilvy Mumbai.
D'Silva, meanwhile, has directed spots for Channel V, Radio City and McDonald's, as well as having written award-winning screenplays.

The pair's former roles at Ogilvy will be filled internally.
