Langford, previously regional head of PR at ABN Amro, will take up the role once the necessary regulatory approvals to complete the deal have been obtained.
According to an ABN Amro spokesperson, Langford will lead communications for RBS two main businesses in Asia: global markets, and retail and commercial.
The structuring of the remainder of the marketing team, however, is still being finalised. ABN Amro’s regional head of marketing communications is currently Kate Henley. “All marketing and communications activity reports into Anna,” said the spokesperson.
Meanwhile, the bank’s creative agency alignment is also believed to be close to a final decision. It is thought that RBS global AOR M&C Saatchi will add brand creative for the merged entity in Asia-Pacific.
