The International Convention Centre Jeju (ICC Jeju) is set in a pleasant seaside location, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Jungmun resort area.
This stylish building of glass and steel makes the most of natural daylight. The main space in the oval-shaped convention centre is the Tamna Hall, with a capacity of 4,500 guests, and there is a selection of smaller halls for groups smaller than 1,000 delegates, as well as ten meeting rooms.
For last October’s AdAsia2007, ICC Jeju provided creative inspiration for 1,500 delegates from the Asian advertising community and speakers from global agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and
TWBA Worldwide.
Among the events booked at ICC Jeju next year is the International Conference for Tropical Medicine and Malaria, which will be attended by more than 1,600 delegates.
The Jungmun resort area has more than 1,200 five-star hotel rooms within a fiveminute drive of ICC Jeju. The Shilla Jeju, with 429 rooms was the first five-star resort-hotel in Korea. The property has 8.5 hectares of landscaped gardens that are perfect for team building activities, cocktails or barbecue banquets. The award-winning Shilla Jeju’s suite of meeting venues can host up to
1,000 delegates.
Across the bay, the Hyatt Regency Jeju has 224 stylish guestrooms, two ballrooms and an attractive pre-function area. In contrast to the modern contemporary style of the hotel, there is a Chosun Dynasty-style house and garden for outdoor events for up to 300 guests.
The Lotte Hotel is palatial in size and design, with 500 rooms and almost 2,000 sqm of meeting space. It is the biggest hotel in the bay. Next year, the ICC Jeju Convention Hotel will open next door to the convention centre. the resort-style hotel will feature 300 rooms.
