MediaTV: Chris Graves

Ogilvy PR's new global head describes the challenges he will face in the role.

Ogilvy Public Relations' president and regional CEO for Asia-Pacific Christopher Graves says he will focus on building the agency's assets in order to "fill the gaps" and maximise future opportunities ahead of his promotion to the post of global chief in January.

“The first thing I’m going to do? I'm going to go in and sit face to face with people and talk. It’s not a matter of some prescription that I have; it may not sound very bold, it may not sound very ambitious, but the smartest thing I can do it go in and talk and listen first,” Graves told Media TV, further praising predecessor Marcia Silverman for her seven-year leadership of the agency.
Graves will move to the US to assume the position from Silverman, 65, who has been named chairwoman of Ogilvy PR. In the interview he describes the qualities he will be looking for in his successor as head of Ogilvy PR in Asia-Pacific.
