The appointment will take effect from January 2010. Ong, who was previously regional sales and marketing director for ACP Magazines, joined in May 2008.

Sng will report to Shaun Seow, MediaCorp’s deputy CEO for news, radio, interactive and print. With over 20 years of operations and management experience, she started her career with PepsiCo and has worked for Singapore Press Holdings.

She joined the publishing arm of MediaCorp in 2004 as assistant VP for circulation and was promoted to SVP of operations in 2008.

In June this year, Sng also headed MediaCorp’s new out-of-home media division, which provides content to the outdoor digital screens at ION Orchard and Orchard Central shopping malls.

Sng said: “These are challenging times for the print industry and it is my hope that I can continue to take the publishing business beyond print, leveraging on the multimedia platforms of MediaCorp and new technologies.”
