Media launches marketing awards

ASIA-PACIFIC: Media magazine is launching the Asian Brand Marketing Awards to recognise and honour companies, which have achieved clear bottomline gains through outstanding brand differentiation campaigns.

In developing the new awards, Media took on board industry feedback in formulating relevant categories such as 'Best integrated marketing campaign,' 'Best marketing campaign for regional brand development,' and 'Most effective use of corporate identity, product design and packaging.'

The highest accolade is the Platinum Award, which will be presented to the campaign that best demonstrates clear objectives, a creative and cohesive strategy, technical excellence in implementation and clear evidence of results in reaching its all-important business objectives.

Advertising and public relations agencies, marketing and brand consultancies, promotions marketing companies as well as in-house marketing departments of client companies are eligible to enter.

Media managing director, Tim Waldron, said: "The Asian Brand Marketing Awards has been created to celebrate Asia's strides in brand marketing.

"The awards are long overdue and, more importantly, are unique in their vision to honour campaigns that show real results."

Entry kits will be distributed in the June 13 issue of Media, and the awards' gala dinner event will be held in September.

Industry associations are also lending their support to the awards.
