Media launches call for Agency of Year entries

Media has launched a call for entries for the 11th Agency of the Year Awards, which will be audited for the third year running by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The same auditors to the Oscars will audit the process to ensure transparency in the judging of five people achievement and five industry awards. With agencies having built on the recovery momentum of 2004, it is expected that this year's competition will be a closely-fought event to determine Agency of the Year as well as the other categories up for contention.

Media is in the process of lining up five senior marketers to serve as external judges on a panel, which will comprise senior Media editors. To date, Asia-Pacific Breweries group commercial director Les Buckley has been confirmed as a judge. Entrants will be judged on achievements for the November 1, 2004 to October 31, 2005 period only. The closing date for entries is October 21, with the awards presented in Hong Kong on December 14. Entry kits can be downloaded at www.mediaeventsasia.com
