<p>Internet giant Yahoo continued to take the lead as the most popular </p><p>site among internet users in Hong Kong and Singapore, according to </p><p>findings by research company, NFO World Group - Hong Kong. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Following its acquisition of Taiwan portal Kimo.com, it also dominated </p><p>the Taiwanese market, visited by six out of 10 web browsers - three </p><p>times as many as its closest competitors. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Portal HongKong.com took the second place in the SAR, followed by news </p><p>website AppleDaily.com. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In Taiwan, local site Yam.com.tw took second place, followed by </p><p>Yahoo.com.tw, suggesting users there preferred localised content. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In mainland China, top websites varied according to major cities. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In Guangzhou, 163.com was the most popular site, while Sina.com led the </p><p>Shanghai market and Sohu.com was found to be the most popular portal in </p><p>Beijing.
