MEDIA-I: TVB.com link-up opens door to rich media uses

<p>HONG KONG: TVB.com, a member of the Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB) </p><p>group, has renewed its partnership with Real Media to boost its rich </p><p>media advertising capability. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The partnership allows advertisers on the site to display both banner </p><p>and video advertising, using Real Media's Open AdStream (OAS) system to </p><p>administer ads. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The software provides web publishers with a summary of a site visitor's </p><p>unique characteristics, helping it to precisely target, schedule and </p><p>track the performance of each ad. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It also allows web publishers to make the most of different parts of the </p><p>websites. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Miko Ho, TVB.com sales manager, said: "The OAS system has enabled us to </p><p>determine our ad inventory, control our ad frequency, link companion </p><p>banners, and exclude competitive advertisers' ads on the same page. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"The new video ad feature is novel and has attracted a lot of eyeballs </p><p>to our website." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The TVB.com website was launched in June last year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It offers Chinese language content relating to lifestyle issues through </p><p>an interactive multimedia network. It also has community features and </p><p>e-commerce. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
