MEDIA-I: Tribal DDB uses active buddy to push job search

<p>HONG KONG: Tribal DDB has launched a messaging-based service for </p><p>the South China Morning Post's classifiedpost.com called The Hunting </p><p>Card, which uses 'active buddy'-style technology. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The service works by sending jobs from the classifiedpost.com to users' </p><p>computers. The messages can be tailored to individual profiles and </p><p>specific industries. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>A relatively new service in Asia, 'active buddy' is popular terminology </p><p>for messaging-type software. According to Jimmy Poon, Tribal DDB </p><p>regional director, the technology can have far reaching implications for </p><p>internet usage and marketing, depending on factors such as audience </p><p>demographics, market viability and client willingness. The Hunting Card </p><p>CD-Rom, shaped as a business card, is available at a local coffee chain, </p><p>and features ad space. The software is presently used by Capitol </p><p>Record's Googly Minotaur for music promotions. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
