Moviola Productions Hong Kong's former group executive producer,

Campbell McLean, has set up Al Vision, a production consultancy and

project management services company that offers the use of intelligent

software robots and interactive video content for marketing and

promotions on the web.

According to McLean, who produced an interactive video system in Hong

Kong for Zung Fu Mercedes Benz in 1989, there are numerous "ways to

personalise and link interactive video content and online

commercials".

"Bots can be used on a 24/7 basis to enhance customer service, increase

sales and reduce customer call centre overheads. They can ultimately be

used in any sales, media or corporate field where accurate, online

access to relevant information is required.

"They can be sent out in emails to have a one-on-one dialogue with the

receiver, linking them if neccessary to specific video content, the

latest TV commercials or product pricing information," said McLean.

He added that intelligent bots could also handle individual customer

questions and provide personalised answers.
