HONG KONG: Peter Hamilton has resigned from Chinadotcom as chief

operating officer and as Ion Global and Mezzo Marketing's chief

executive officer.

Hamilton is scheduled to leave the company in February when his contract

expires. He said that he would miss the day-to-day challenges at the

company, but felt it was time to explore other opportunities.

"I've spent nearly six years with chinadotcom and its forerunners,

helping to take great ideas and turn them into viable businesses which

are well on track to turning profits.

"While it has been a difficult decision to take, I am confident that the

management teams now in place at both Ion Global and Mezzo Marketing are

strong and represent some of the most experienced in the Asian internet

sector.

"The last quarter has demonstrated that we're making good progress

towards this goal."

Hamilton will remain as a board member of chinadotcom and will continue

to provide support to chinadotcom and its subsidiaries.

However, chinadotcom announced it would not be replacing the chief

operating officer role.

In a separate development, chinadotcom said it stopped its revenues

sliding during the third quarter.
