MEDIA-I: Hamilton quits Chinadotcom after six years

<p>HONG KONG: Peter Hamilton has resigned from Chinadotcom as chief </p><p>operating officer and as Ion Global and Mezzo Marketing's chief </p><p>executive officer. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Hamilton is scheduled to leave the company in February when his contract </p><p>expires. He said that he would miss the day-to-day challenges at the </p><p>company, but felt it was time to explore other opportunities. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"I've spent nearly six years with chinadotcom and its forerunners, </p><p>helping to take great ideas and turn them into viable businesses which </p><p>are well on track to turning profits. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"While it has been a difficult decision to take, I am confident that the </p><p>management teams now in place at both Ion Global and Mezzo Marketing are </p><p>strong and represent some of the most experienced in the Asian internet </p><p>sector. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"The last quarter has demonstrated that we're making good progress </p><p>towards this goal." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Hamilton will remain as a board member of chinadotcom and will continue </p><p>to provide support to chinadotcom and its subsidiaries. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>However, chinadotcom announced it would not be replacing the chief </p><p>operating officer role. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In a separate development, chinadotcom said it stopped its revenues </p><p>sliding during the third quarter. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
