TOKYO: Japan's sixth-largest advertising agency, Yomiko
Advertising, has formed a joint venture with digital marketing
specialist AdXplorer to set up AdXplorer Japan.
The new company will begin operations in July this year and will
regionally develop integrated advertising solutions in the Japanese
market. It will be headquartered in Tokyo with 20 staff and Naohiro
Yamaura serving as president.
AdXplorer chief executive officer, Antony Young, said: "Japan is the
second biggest online market behind the US. We don't just see Japan as a
strategic move, but we see it as a large revenue market. Most Japanese
clients prefer to go through trusted Japanese partners. We hope to work
with both Japanese and international multinationals."
