MEC Singapore scoops Casbaa's top honour
MEC Singapore walked away with 'Campaign of the Year' at this year's Casbaa TV Awards, for its Coke Light 'A Light Affair' reality speed dating show. <BR><BR> The campaign beat over 165 entries in a competition that opened up beyond pay-TV for the first time, to include campaigns from satellite, IPTV, mobile and terrestrial channels. "Personally, what I really liked about the Coke campaign was that it was a new, unique way of using an old medium," said James Cheung, ECD of TBWA\Hong Kong and chairman of this year's judging panel. <BR><BR> Bates Asia took home the most category awards for its Heineken Shanghai 'Are You In' commercial, one for Best TVC in China and one for Best Use of Sponsorship. Meanwhile, no awards were passed out for Best TVC in India/South Asia and Southeast Asia.
