Shackleford joins from the agency's London operation where she worked with clients including Sony Ericsson and Lloyds Banking Group.
In her new role, she will work across the agency's Colgate Palmolive and Barclays Capital accounts, reporting to managing partner of MEC Hong Kong Aaron Quinn. She will also support the team in developing MEC's strategic offering in the Asia-Pacific region.
Speaking of her appointment, Quinn said, "Hannah is one of the rising stars in our network. I am really excited about having her talents here in Asia as we look to further develop our strategic offer across the region.”
