MEC China reels in new appointments

SHANGHAI - MEC has moved to bolster its China team following increased business from the likes of Colgate-Palmolive, Wrigley's and DHL.

New tactical planning director Johny Ji arrives from Universal McCann China, where he was associate national buying director, to lead TV solutions for key Guangzhou-based clients Colgate- Palmolive and Wrigley’s.

Prior to Universal, Ji worked for Starcom’s P&G tactical planning and research team.

In Beijing, meanwhile, Sherry Duan has joined the agency as group director from Leo Burnett, while Michelle Yang has been promoted to general manager.

Duan will focus on communications planning, service offering and business development, while Yang moves upwards from a previous role as director, handling Sony Ericsson and DHL.
