MEC adds senior talent in China

SHANGHAI - MEC has moved to bolster its China team following increased business from Colgate-Palmolive, Wrigley's and DHL, with tactical planning director Johny Ji arriving from Universal McCann China.

Ji was associate national buying director at Universal, and in his new role will lead TV solutions for key Guangzhou-based clients Colgate-Palmolive and Wrigley’s.

In Beijing, meanwhile, Sherry Duan (pictured) has joined the agency as group director from Leo Burnett, while Michelle Yang has been promoted to GM.

“Grooming local talent has always been a priority for us and we see Johnny, Michelle and Sherry as MEC China’s next generation of leaders,” said MEC North Asia CEO Bertilla Teo.
