Meaden picked for new MindShare job

BEIJING - MindShare has begun to roll out its new structure in Asia-Pacific, naming China CEO Andrew Meaden (pictured) to the newly-created position of North Asia CEO.

The appointment comes after the agency unveiled plans to radically overhaul its global model (Media, 17 April).

Meaden will report directly to MindShare Asia-Pacific CEO Ashutosh Srivastava, and will be accountable for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

It is expected that MindShare will name management for its other  sub-regions over the next two weeks.
Meaden will continue to oversee China as CEO, a role he assumed in late 2006.

Separately, GroupM’s MediaCom has confirmed the shift of global CEO and founder Alexander Schmidt-Vogel to a newly created role as global CEO of GroupM Trading. Steve Allan, the CEO of GroupM UK, will succeed the German as global head of MediaCom.
